It did not take many runs, but the Burlington Red Devils handed the Lexington Minutemen its first loss of the season yesterday afternoon. The final was 2-0 in the Middlesex League matchup after a spectacular day on the mound for both starters.
“This game was a lot better than when we first played Lexington mostly because we were able to get the runs and that helped me get through the game more than the last time,” said junior pitcher Jillian Ghio. “There is a lot less pressure when you have runs.”
