The Lions Club of Lexington Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. on July 2. Fireworks are displayed from the center field track area on Worthen Road. Fireworks start time depends on weather and safety issues as determined by the Lexington Fire Department.
The 4th of July Carnival runs from July 2 through July 6 at Hastings Park.Every year on July 4 at 10 a.m., the Lexington Lions Club sponsors free activities for elementary-age youth in the town of Lexington. There are recognition awards for best historical costumes, original costumes, and races for the various age groups (running, 3 legged race, sack race ).
All participants will be recognized with ribbons.
