Candidate Forum Coming in Lexington State Senator Race

A candidate forum will be held next month for Lexington’s state senator race.

Incumbent State Sen. Mike Barrett, D-Lexington, and his challenger, Sandi Martinez, Republican from Chelmsford, were invited to the League of Women Voters forum Oct. 5. It will be held at the Willard School Auditorium in Concord from 2 to 4 p.m.

Barrett and Martinez are running to represent the Third District, which includes Lexington.

Other candidates invited to the forum include:

• Incumbent U.S. Rep. Niki Tsongas, D-Lowell, and challenger Ann Wofford, a Republican from Haverhill
• State Rep. Cory Atkins, D-Concord, and her challenger, Ken Van Tassell, Libertarian from Chelmsford

The general election is Nov. 4.
