CareWell Urgent Care Supports Cradles to Crayons' "Ready for School" Initiative
Campaign provided school supplies to 300 disadvantaged students across Massachusetts

CareWell Urgent Care today announced that together with WCVB-TV, it helped provide school supplies to more than 300 local students in need this fall as part of Cradles to Crayon’s Ready for School initiative.
With a mission to help alleviate the effects of poverty on school readiness, Cradles to Crayons’ Ready for School program distributes backpacks filled with new, age-appropriate school supplies and KidPacks filled with shoes, clothing, and more to ensure that the children arrive at school ready to learn. Ready for School serves disadvantaged students across the Commonwealth through partnerships with low-income school districts and local social service agencies.
From August through the end of September, CareWell partnered with WCVB and Cradles to Crayons to collect school supplies for disadvantaged students. CareWell centers throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island served as drop-off locations during the collection.

“All of us at CareWell were thrilled to be a part of this campaign,” said CEO Shaun Ginter. “We’re dedicated to supporting the communities in which we operate, and this drive was a great way to give back. Every child deserves to start the school year with all the tools they need to succeed.”
“We are thrilled to say that the partnership was a great success and every one of the CareWell locations filled at least one tote of essential school supplies. Lexington even required a second pick-up,” said Kirsten Sims, senior manager of marketing and communications at Cradles to Crayons. “The total amount of supplies collected throughout the CareWell network filled 35 13-gallon bags, and when packaged into complete Ready For School backpacks, that supported more than 300 kids! Plus the rest of the supplies will continue to fill out our Arts and Crafts Packs.”
