Ciccolo Wins 5-Way Lexington State Rep Primary
Retiring Rep. Jay Kaufman left the field wide open this primary.

LEXINGTON, MA – Michelle Ciccolo has defeated four other candidates to win the Democratic nomination for the 15th Middlesex District state representative, according to WBUR. She will continue unchallenged to the general election Nov. 6.
Five candidates were vying for the nomination: Ciccolo, Matthew Cohen, Joseph G. Lahiff, Mary Ann Stewart and William Joseph Sweeney. Ciccolo has served multiple terms on the Lexington Board of Selectmen, Planning Board, Town Meeting and the Local Government Advisory Council to the Governor.
She was also a three-term president of the Metropolitan Area Planning Council and provided consulting services as a small business owner.

Kate Hogan beat Edward Basile for the Third Middlesex District state representative seat 5,338 to 433.
