Community Development Block Grant Public Hearing Is Tonight, June 4

Town of Lexington is applying for $120,000 in microenterprise assistance and is participating in a regional application process.

The Town of Lexington is applying for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the Office of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which could bring aid to the micro-businesses (fewer than five employees) in the town.

The Town of Lexington is applying for $120,000 in microenterprise assistance and is participating in a regional application process with 23 other communities.

The application will be administered by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council. The Mass Growth Capital Corporation will administer the funding and will provide it directly to the businesses. This regional program would grant funding of up to $10,000 per business to qualifying microenterprises adversely impacted by COVID-19.
