Dance Prism presents A Midsummer Night's Dream

Celebrate Shakespeare's 400th anniversary with a timeless performance filled with fairies, Bottom and Puck!

Honoring Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary, Dance Prism will present A Midsummer Night’s Dream, his shimmering fantasy of fairies and foolish mortals, in a 6:30 twilight performance at Curtis Theater in Sudbury on April 16, and at 2:30 matinees at the Collins Center in Andover on April 17 and at the Performing Arts Center in Littleton on May 1. A complementary reception to meet the principal characters will follow each performance.

Dance Prism’s production, like the beloved play on which it is based, intermingles the incandescent beauty of the fairy kingdom with the riotous confusion of four young lovers and the befuddlement of Bottom the weaver, famously crowned with the head of an ass by the mischievous Puck. A timeless comedy of fairies and mortals, magic and mistaken identity, the ballet is accompanied by Mendelssohn’s sparkling score.

Tickets are priced at $20 for children, students with ID, and seniors, $26 for adults; generous group discounts are offered. Seating is reserved; handicapped seating is available and easily accessible. For all performances, tickets are available online at www.danceprism.com or at 978-371-1038.
