Mr. O’Brien will discuss his memoir and his ongoing journey with Alzheimer’s disease. He will respond to questions from the audience following the presentation.
An award-winning journalist, Mr. O’Brien was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease in 2009, at the age of 59. He has responded to his illness by doing what he has always done best: reporting on it. In his remarkable, self-aware memoir, Mr. O’Brien bears witness to his own dwindling memory, his fears, his frustrations, and his ongoing faith to keep fighting and reporting as long as he is able.
