Celebrate the season of Advent in this traditional service that moves from darkness to light. The Adult and Youth Choirs of Our Redeemer Church are directed by Joyce Painter Rice, interim Music Director. A string quartet will accompany the Advent choral anthems and Advent hymns sung by the congregation. Composers include Palestrina, Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Parry and Manz; and other music sources are Gregorian chant, Folk Hymns and African-American spirituals.
