Cary Memorial Library Presents: "Behind the Scenes at the Boston Pops"

Professional bass player and author Justin Locke  will present an entertaining inside look at the world of professional musicians and world-class musical performances. Based on his musical memoir, Real Men Don’t Rehearse,  Justin will recount tales of his adventures from concert meltdowns to cannon mishaps--- and  much more.  Find out what really goes on backstage and in the pit!

Justin Locke spent 18 years as a professional bass player playing with the Boston Pops, the Boston Symphony,  and for operas, ballets, and Broadway shows in Boston.  He  has worked with many of the greatest conductors of our time including Leonard Bernstein, Arthur Fiedler, Henry Mancini and John Williams, and has played thousands of concerts including  the 1976 Bicentennial Concert with Arthur Fiedler which is in the Guinness Book of World Records.

From great musical moments to great musical gaffes ....his hilarious stories will have you laughing out loud!   Space is limited.  Attendance will be on a first come , first serve basis.
