The full-length version of the award winning documentary film, Beyond Belief, will be screened. ( 92 minutes).
Susan Retik and Patti Quigley were ordinary soccer moms living in the suburbs of Boston when tragedy struck: both women lost their husbands in the terrorist attacks on 9/11. Rather than turning inwards, grief compelled these women to reach out--- to the women of Afghanistan, whose lives had also been devastated by war and terrorism.
This film, Beyond Belief, is the story of their journey from the comfortable suburbs of Boston to the most desperate villages of Afghanistan. It is a powerful, inspirational, and profound film which shows us all the way to move beyond tragedy
Beyond Belief has won the following awards: Winner, 'Audience Award' ' Newburyport Documentary Film Festival; Official Selection Tribeca Film Festival; Official Selection Hamptons International Film Festival; Winner, 'Best of Festival' Woods Hole Films Festival.
