Cary Memorial Library Presents Paris: Food, Fashion, Flirtation

Cary Memorial Library invites you on a virtual tour of Paris. Lexington resident Rebecca Ruquist, an American scholar of French culture, will serve as your personal tour guide. Using Google maps, as well as a variety of media, including music and photos, Rebecca will lead you through some of Paris's most interesting and beautiful streets, as she points out many of her favorite spots along the way. Rebecca’s insider's view of the City of Lights is based on her 12+ years of experience living part-time in Paris.

A French major at Wellesley College, with an advanced degree from Yale University, Rebecca has taught French at the graduate, undergraduate, and secondary level, and has also served as a research consultant to American journalists working in Paris. Her time in Paris provided her with many opportunities to explore not only its history, art and literature --- but also its food, fashion, and popular culture.  In this program, she will feature some of her favorite spots for finding gourmet goodies, beautiful clothing, secret sales, and romantic inspiration.

Rebecca’s first program at Cary Library, held last February, was so popular that the library’s Meeting Room could not accommodate all the people who wished to attend.  If you weren't able to attend the previous event, please join us for this encore edition!  Space is limited.  Come early to get a great seat!
