Charles Dickens and the Victorian Society

The Friends of Cary Library in Lexington will host a Fall Lecture Series in the Lower Level Meeting Room of the library Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. beginning on October 11. The speaker is Tatiana Holway, PhD, and her subject is “Charles Dickens and Victorian Society.”  This is a series of four lectures with the following titles: October 11, The Victorian Door-Stopper, or, Why Is the Nineteenth-Century Novel So Big?; October 18, Who the Dickens?; November 1 and 8, In the Archives, Adventures in Writing History.
