Meet at the Whipple Hill parking lot on Winchester Drive (additional parking across the street). Visit Lexington's highest peak, where clues to the town's geologic history can be seen. Investigate a vernal pool and follow a small stream to Locke Pond. Admire unusual plants and take a "scratch and sniff" tour of some fragrant greenery. The trail is uneven, so wear good walking shoes. With hard rain or lightning, the walk will be held on June 5.
