CommUNITY Conversation about "Traces of the Trade"

Following several screenings of the powerful documentary, "Traces of the Trade: A Story from the Deep North," CommUNITY, Lexington Interfaith Clergy Association, and Hancock Church will hold a facilitated group discussion about the issues raised in the film. What is the impact of slavery on race relations today? What are the elements of privilege, and how does it affect our increasingly diverse population -- in the US, or right here in Lexington? How does this film tie in to the important debate about modern immigration issues? Is Lexington's fast-changing demographics creating related challenges in the areas of integration, community engagement and "active citizenship"?
