Executive Function Strategies across the Grades: A Systematic Approach

The speaker will discuss the development of executive function processes in children along with examples of developmental tasks at different age levels. The talk will also address specific areas that are challenging to students at school and home with respect to executive function processing. A rationale will be presented for a structured scope and sequence as well as a systematic curriculum for addressing executive function processes across the grades. Finally, the speaker will discuss a framework to guide parent-teacher communication about students' executive function processing.
