Fall Open House @ Munroe Center for the Arts

Join us for four hours of free, fun activities offered by every school at the Munroe Center for the Arts at 1403 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington. Plein Air painting will be taking place on the front lawn with Munroe Studio Artist and ArtSpan teacher Emily Passman. Noon to 1:30, our ceramics program sponsors an Empty Bowls Ice Cream social--purchase a hand-thrown bowl of ice cream, keep the bowl, and all proceeds go to Roots of Heath, a Phillipines rural health collective. Dance Inn will give free dance classes for 3-year olds (9 am) and a free adult hip-hop class at noon. Jean Schwartz holds a free sing-along at the Children's Arts Corner at 1 pm. Watercolor, Children's Art, and Illustration & Design teachers will be on hand in ArtSpan's Art Room from 2-4 pm. Board-breaking and complex moves including jumps and spins at 1 pm with Chung Do Kwan Tae Kwon Do studio. Ceramics teacher Carmela Goguen will be ready to help with clay experiments from 2-4 pm.
