Ghost Army of WWII - 1-Day Exhibit

The Ghost Army of WWII - Artists of Deception.

The GI’s of the Ghost Army duped Hitler’s army with rubber tanks (pictured), sound effects and trickery. They were a secret WWII battlefield deception unit comprised of artists, engineers and radio operators. Veterans of the unit included fashion designer Bill Blass (pictured), minimalist painter Ellsworth Kelley, jazz & rock n' roll photographer Art Kane.

View original wartime artworks by Ghost Army soldiers (pictured), wartime artifacts, photos, and video from an in-progress documentary film, seven years in the making. Meet filmmaker Rick Beyer. WWII re-enactors will also be on hand. Benefit for the independent film honoring the brave and creative men of The Ghost Army.
