Lecture: "The Sense and Neuroscience of Waldorf Education"

Steven Prouty, Ph.D. will speak on recent research in neuroscience as it relates to education:  How do we define and measure intelligence?  To what extent is intelligence genetically or environmentally determined?  Is it possible to develop and increase a child's intelligence, and if so, how?  How does the latest research on the neurodevelopment of intelligence support the Waldorf approach to education?  Dr. Prouty is an alumni parent and a former faculty member of the Waldorf School.  He will draw from his groundbreaking Ph.D. dissertation for this talk, considering both neuroscience and the framework of multiple intelligences as they relate to education.
