Lexington Community Education presents: Executive Function Processes: Keys to Successful & Independent Learning with Kalyani Krishnan, M.A.

Imagine knowing how to help your child or students stay on top of homework adjust to new routines, and cope effectivelywith challenges at home and in school.  In this presentation, licensed school psychologist, Language and Learning Specialist, and the Assistant Director of Assessment at the Institute for Learning and Development and Research ILD, Kalyani Krishnan will provide pare nts with comprehensive information about executive function processes as they affect their children's behavior and learning.  We will examine definitions and the description of executive function processes and discuss how these processes influence children's success in school and at home.  Ms. Krishnan will describe effective approaches to parenting children ith executive function weaknesses and present a selection of research-based, tried and true strategies.  There will be time set aside at the end for questions and answers.  Please feel free to write down your concerns, particular situations that arise in your family, and questions that you have and hand them to the speaker when you arrive.
