Cary Library is especially pleased to announce that The Path: A One Mile Walk through the Universe by Chet Raymo has been selected as the Community Book for Lexington Reads 2011. In this fascinating work, Raymo traces the one-mile commute from his home to the office at the college where he taught, a route he walked each day for thirty-seven years. With his rare gift for observation and making connections, Raymo chronicles uncommon details, encouraging readers to look at their own everyday world with fresh eyes.
Mr. Raymo has agreed to be this year’s featured speaker for Lexington Reads and will be speaking on the theme “ Let Nature Be our Teacher” at CARY HALL
