Lexington Reads: Riffs and Raps---Jazzin' the Generations

Lexington Reads 2012: The Creative Spirit!

Cary Library invites the whole family to join members of JazzBoston as they demonstrate the creative elements of jazz!

Hop on board with our three guides, Arni Cheatham on saxophones, Bill Lowe on bass trombone, tuba, and percussion, and Kevin Harris on keyboards, as they take us on a live musical tour through time….from the roots of jazz in blues and spirituals, through the Great American Songbook, and right on to the sounds of jazz today.

Interactive from start to finish, the program is designed to engage audiences as well as entertain them. From toddlers to seniors, you will be harmonizing, clapping along or tapping to the beat. Informal conversations with the musicians follow each performance.

So come move your mind and body with guides Arni, Bill, and Kevin as they "jazz the generations!"   Fun for all ages!
