On Saturday, April 2, Lexington Symphony performs Faure's Pelleas et Melisande and Stravinsky's Firebird. The concert also features the dashing Max Levinson performing Ravel's Piano Concerto in G and a solo movement by a young artist from Lexington High School. Levinson is an award-winning pianist, described by The Los Angeles Times as having “fingers, power, brains and intuition.” Written at the turn of the 1920s, Ravel's Piano Concerto was heavily influenced by the jazz of the time.
