
Located in a rural corner of Lexington, Meadow Mist Farm is an integrated small farm that raises and sells grass fed beef, lamb, pastured chicken and turkey, cage-free fresh eggs and seasonal garden vegetables and berries. Meadow Mist uses only organically certified animal feeds, and avoids the use of any type of insecticide, herbicide or fungicide on their gardens and pastures. The farm relies on crop rotation, on-site composting, cover cropping and rotational grazing to build soil helath. During this weekend morning walking tour you will have the chance to see first-hand this local micro-farm and homestead and learn about the daily activities of planting, harvesting, and animal care.
