Republican Delegate Elections

With the primaries wrapping up, the next step in the Presidential election process is election of delegates to the national conventions for each major party. This Saturday is the caucus to elect the Republican delegates from the Massachusetts fifth Congressional district. The event is in Framingham (Nevins Memorial Hall), starting promptly at 10am, and should last about an hour. A free bus will be available leaving from Arlington (parking lot behind St. Agnes church) that morning at 9am if you'd rather not drive.

Running this year together are Mark Crowley (Medford) and Sean Harrintgon (Arlington). Mark, the treasurer of the Medford GOP, was a delegate to the last convention in 2008 in Minneapolis. Sean, chair of the Arlington GOP, is well known for leading the charge to require recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance in the Arlington schools.

The new Fifth Congressional district stretches from Revere to Framingham, including Medford, Malden, Arlington, Melrose, Arlington,Winchester, Lexington, Stoneham and Woburn, among others.

So, come on out to support the local team!
