Come relive "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere" through the creative vision of award-winning illustrator, engraver, and Lexington resident, Christopher Bing. This special afternoon lecture event will include the rare treat of viewing an exhibit of Mr. Bing's original color engravings from this project.
While conducting the research prior to creating his unique illustrations to accompany the classic Longfellow poem, Mr. Bing was granted exceptional access to Boston's Old North Church, and he climbed 154 stairs leading to that belfry. You will hear his animated tales of historic spots that general public never gets to see. He will share his stories and answer your questions about his lively and fantastic "ride" experience with Paul Revere during Mr. Bing’s gathering of historical research, artifacts, and the images now integrated into his book.
Also on display will be items and memorabilia to explain the diverse career and business ventures of Paul Revere. Bring your family and friends to retrace the adventure, from Boston to Lexington, at this special event within an intimate setting.
Light refreshments, raffle prizes, and a book signing will follow the lecture. Seating is limited & reservations are required. $5/person or $15/groups of four. Purchase tickets @ Lexington Visitors Center, or phone 781-862-1450, or email reservation request to:
