Lexington High School groups performing are the Mixed Chorus, Women's Chorus, Concert Choir, Madrigal Singers, Jazz Big Band and Jazz Ensemble. The choral ensembles will perform a wide variety of repertoire: choral classics including "Cantique de Jean Racine" (Gabriel Faure), "Heilig" (Felix Mendelssohn) and "Hallelujah Chorus" (G.F. Handel). Newer works such as the thrilling "African Sanctus" of the late British composer/ethnomusicologist David Fanshawe, "Salmo 150" by Brazilian composer Ernani Aguiar and "Überlebensgross" by contemporary Canadian composer Stephen Hatfield. Guest artists include members of the LHS Percussion Ensemble, members of the LHS Wind Ensemble, a violin duet between Yasmeen Al-Mazeedi and Sophia Bernitz, and the LHS Chamber Orchestra.
