You won’t want to miss this fun and exciting town-wide tradition; the chance to cheer on your favorite teams of teachers, friends and neighbors, and test your own trivia know-how against seasoned competitors.

Over forty teams sponsored by local businesses, organizations, and individuals, test their trivia know-how in this friendly battle of wits.  All nine Lexington schools will be represented, including for the first time, students from Lexington High School.  Perennial favorites will try to claim the winning spot, new teams have signed up to create some buzz, and last year’s Bee champs, the 'EGgheads' are returning to defend their crown.

Many “bee-loved” friends provide the supporting cast – Jeff Leonard, Performing Arts Department Coordinator at Lexington High School, returns as the Master of Ceremonies.  Time limits will be enforced by "beekeeper" Matt Murphy, Community Resource Officer with the Lexington Police Department.   Koren Stembridge, Director of Cary Memorial Library, will participate as a judge along with Bee Questions Committee members Greg Morrisett and Betty Gau.  "Bee-dazzling" the audience, Thelma Goldberg will “Dance Inn” the questions to begin the festivities.
