Donated to Cary Library in 1976, the Worthen Collection includes photographs, maps, objects, and manuscript materials that document life in Lexington from the mid-19th to mid-20th centuries. While the materials have been used by students, patrons and researchers over the years, they have remained “hidden treasures” – until now.
Join us as Local History librarian Linda Carroll presents highlights from the Edwin B. Worthen Collection and provides a 'preview' of the new Worthen Collection website, scheduled to go online later this year.
