Winsor Music Young Artist Program

Winsor Music, directed by acclaimed oboist Peggy Pearson, presents its second concert of the 2011-2012 season, featuring cellist and Sphinx Competition winner Tony Rymer. Two Boston premieres will be on the program: “Finite Infinity” by MIT composer Peter Child and “Scritch” by Melinda Wagner, a 1999 Pulitzer Prize winner. A discussion with Ms. Wagner will precede the concert at 7:00 pm. Also on the program will be a Boccherini Quintet in C Major and a selection of Lieder by Brahms with soprano Kendra Colton and pianist Megan Henderson. A reception will follow the concert.

  • Brahms: Lieder
  • Peter Child: "Finite Infinity" (Boston premiere) with Kendra Colton, soprano and Megan Henderson, piano
  • Melinda Wagner: "Scritch" (Boston premiere)
  • Boccherini: Quintet in C Major, Op. 28, No. 4

Tickets: $20 regular, $15 senior, age 9-18 free
