World War II Veterans of the Lexington Council on Aging

The program entitled, “Afghanistan 2008-2009: A Deployment with the Currahees”, will be presented by Matthew Pica, SGT, US Army.

SGT Pica is a graduate of Milford High School and attended Iona College, from which he left in his junior year to enlist in the Army as an Infantryman. He has served in Iraq with the 1/506th Infantry Division (“Band of Brothers”) and in Kapisa Province, Afghanistan, near Bagram. SGT Pica has much experience in these two theaters of operation which he will share with us.

Please join us for this Program, as all are welcome. Coffee is generously provided by Starbucks (Lexington Center, Scott LeBlanc, Manager). When you patronize this Starbucks coffee shop, please thank them for their long-time, continuing support of the Lexington Veterans’ Association. Also, special thanks to those who bake or bring cookies/cake to our programs: this is greatly appreciated.
