The first program of the 2011-2012 season of the Lexington Veterans’ Association will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011, at 1:15 P.M., at Cary Memorial Library (Meeting Room), at 1874 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington Center. The program entitled, “Special Forces Operations”, will be presented by Dennis Drewry, MAJ, U.S. Army (Ret.).
A veteran of the Vietnam War, Major Drewry served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Special Forces (the Green Berets). He was an Airborne Qualified Officer, who earned a Bronze Star for Valor, a Purple Heart and a Combat Infantry Badge during his military career. Mr. Drewry, who serves on the Massachusetts staff of U.S. Senator Scott Brown, received a Bachelor of Science degree from UMass-Amherst and formerly served for 12 years on the Westborough Board of Selectmen.
