“You Too Can Be President: What are the: Benefits and Possibilities in Public Service?”
With Representative Jay Kaufman
Garnering interest in the field of politics has long been a difficult task. While the notion of being a public servant or politician is attractive, one problem is that unlike the fields of law, medicine, and finance, the benefits are not openly stated and the methods of entering the field are unknown and difficult. Join Rep. Kaufman in collaboration with the Indian American Forum for Political Education (IAFPE) as we attempt to demystify this exciting and rewarding field. This forum, to be held at the Cary Library, 1874 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, (Lower Level Meeting Room), is scheduled for Monday July 25th from 7PM-8:30PM.
The seminar’s goal will be to illuminate what are the benefits and what are the ways to get involved with the political process at any level, be it campaigning, running for public office, or being involved in public policy.
This event will be open to people of all ages in an effort to bring out the best of what American’s have to offer to their country.
Food and refreshments will be served. There will also be a raffle for 1 iPod Shuffle.
