Farm Work Day and Composting Workshop
Enjoy spring at Wright-Locke Farm this weekend (Winchester, MA)
Wright-Locke Farm welcomes adults and teens to get outside and on the Farm this weekend. Join farm staff and board members for a Spring Work Day this Saturday, April 23 starting at 10am. Drop in to help out with various tasks in and around the fields, pastures, gardens, and historic barns.
If a morning of farm work isn't your cup of tea, consider learning about the wonders of compost during our Home Composting Workshop this Sunday, April 24 from 10 - 11am at the Farm. Wright Locke's Education Director Rebekah Carter will discuss the science of compost, why compost is critical to organic gardening, and how to successfully compost at home. The workshop will cover several methods for small-scale composting, including indoor, outdoor, and worm-driven techniques, and will conclude with an exploration of the Farm’s compost practices.
