Wednesday, Aug. 3

10:19 a.m. – Firefighters responded to Waltham Street in Lexington Center for a report of a motor vehicle accident. One person was transported to Lahey Clinic in Burlington via ambulance.

9:58 p.m. – Firefighters responded to Thoreau Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident. One person was transported to Lahey Clinic via ambulance.

Thursday, Aug. 4

4:27 a.m. – A resident called the fire department after his or her carbon monoxide detector sounded. Firefighters responded and determined that the unit needed to be replaced.

4:58 p.m. – Emergency personnel responded to Winchester Drive for a report of a motor vehicle accident. The driver declined medical treatment.

5:39 p.m. – Firefighters responded to a Bedford Street residence after a smoke detector sounded. There, they determined the detector had malfunctioned.

Friday, Aug. 5

3:21 p.m. – Firefighters responded to after a computer battery overheated causing an odor. The battery was taken outside of the library and the room was ventilated.

5:49 p.m. – Firefighters responded to the parking lot in front of  for a report of a car fire but found the area clear upon arrival.

10:46 p.m. – Firefighters responded to a Grove Street residence for a report of a bat in the house. They were unable to locate the nocturnal creature.

Monday, Aug. 8

11:28 a.m. – Emergency personnel were called to Route 128 for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a tour bus. The call was canceled shortly after by Massachusetts State Police.

1:49 p.m. – Firefighters responded to after a smoke detector sounded but found that a window washer had accidentally set it off.

2:19 p.m. – Firefighters responded to Blossomcrest Road for a report of an electrical wire rubbing up against a tree. The tree had started to burn when firefighters arrived. NStar was then called to the scene.

7:18 p.m. – Firefighters were called to a Peacock Farm Road residence for a report of a leaking hot water heater.
