Tuesday, Dec. 27

10:07 a.m. – Emergency response personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident on Lowell Street and found a non-English speaking female who had been struck by a pick-up. A police office assisted with translation and the woman was transported to Lahey Clinic.

1:56 p.m. – Firefighters responded to a barrel fire on Victory Garden Way, found some burning cardboard and extinguished it.

9:57 p.m. – Firefighters responded to a reported transformer fire at Underwood Avenue and Normandy Road. They found no wires down, but onfirmed a power outage in the area and notified NStar.

10:47 p.m. – Again, firefighters responded to a barrel fire on Victory Garden Way, found a burning barrel filled with construction debris and extinguished it.

Thursday, Dec. 29

10:05 a.m. – A construction worker hit a wire while working on Hartwell Avenue, causing an alarm activation. Companies confirmed the demo crew struck the wire.

12:54 p.m. – A call came in reporting a . Firefighters and a hazardous materials team from Hanscom Air Force Base responded to the scene and learned that a flash fire occurred while changing out a tank of Silane. The area was vented and checked for structural damage.

5:29 p.m. – A Laconia Street resident reported sparking wires ignited a fire in a tree almost touching her house. The tree department removed the tree and cleared the burning branch and brush.

5:33 p.m. – Companies checked out a reported outside odor of gas on Camellia Place, but found nothing.

6:03 p.m. – Firefighters responded to Lexington Ridge Drive for what turned out to be smoke from cooking food in a microwave.

Friday, Dec. 30

11:58 a.m. – Firefighters responded to a smoke condition on Buckman Drive and found a wood stove operating in the basement, but not venting properly. They helped shut down the stove, vented the house and advised the homeowner to have the chimney checked before further use of the stove.

Saturday, Dec. 31

7:22 p.m. – An unintentional alarm activation called firefighters to Hayden Avenue.

Sunday, Jan. 1

1:33 a.m. – Firefighters responded to a Bedford Street apartment building where sewerage was backing up into a unit and assisted the female occupant by notifying the management company and locating a phone number she could use to follow-up.

1:39 p.m. – Firefighters responded to a stove fire on Red Coat Lane in which an electric oven went into self-cleaning mode. Responders unplugged the oven and removed it from the house.

Monday, Jan. 2

1:54 p.m. – Companies were called to a possible gasoline leak from a vehicle parked on East Emerson Road.

Tuesday, Jan. 3

11:03 p.m. – Firefighters responded to Tewksbury Street for a kitchen fire and found that smoke from the self-cleaning oven had filled the house.
