LEXINGTON, MA—It's almost time to whip out the trusty ol' putter, because it's golfing season in Lexington.
Golf is a big deal in Massachusetts. According to MassGolfEconomy.com, Golf's total economic impact on the state is greater than all other major sports combined. 25,500 jobs are generated by golf in Massachusetts, and golf has a charitable impact of $74.3 million on charitable organizations in the state.
According to Massachusetts Golf Guide, there are 51 golf courses in Middlesex County. However, not all golf courses are made equally. Here are five of the highest-rated golf courses with in five miles of Lexington, according to GolfLink.com, a national golf course directory website.
