Flight Delays Adding Up at Logan Airport

Flights up and down the east coast are being cancelled as snow, sleet and rain head into the Boston area.

As of 11:30 a.m., FlightAware Misery Map said there are 577 flight delays across the country, which are being caused in large part because of the storm on the east coast.

There are 23 flights delayed at Logan Airport. The New York area airports are facing worse numbers with nearly 100 delays and 14 cancellations, Washington area airports have 64 delays and two cancellations and even Chicago has 72 delays as of 11:30 a.m.

The delays at Logan Airport will likely get worse as the snow has not even started in the Boston area yet.

The storm could not have worse timing as millions of Americans are at airports looking to get home for Thanksgiving. CNN is reporting that about 30 million travelers along the eastern seaboard could be delayed by the storm.
