Grant Applications Now Available

The Community Endowment of Lexington is now accepting grant applications from Lexington-serving nonprofits and town agencies. Apply today!

The Community Endowment of Lexington (CEL) promotes a spirit of philanthropic giving to help enhance the quality of life for all Lexington residents. As an endowed Fund of the Foundation for MetroWest, CEL is a permanent source of funding to support needs and opportunities and provide ways for donors to make an impact directly in Lexington.

What Does the Community Endowment of Lexington Support?

The Community Board accepts grant applications from registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and town agencies serving Lexington. It encourages applications that bring innovative thinking to big issues and small ones - all for the benefit of Lexington.

CEL will consider grants that fall within these priority areas:

*Health and Human Services/Support: CEL supports programs that assist families and youth, help underserved populations; and create pathways to overall quality of life.
Please note that CEL does not generally grant to programs focused solely on seniors because of other foundation funding available in Lexington directed specifically to this population.

*Arts & Culture: CEL supports organizations that contribute to the cultural vitality of the community, promote the visual & performing arts, and work to preserve the historic character of Lexington.

*Environment: CEL supports programs that preserve the natural resources of the town and promote environmental awareness, education and engagement.

*Community Building: CEL supports programs that increase volunteerism and community involvement, strengthen civic engagement, and emphasize collaborations that enhance community initiatives.

2016 Grant Applications Now Available!

Grants range from $1,000 to $10,000.

We will be awarding the grants in early June.

The Community Board accepts grant applications from 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and town agencies that serve the Lexington community.
