Hanscom Air Force Base to Conduct 'Active Shooter' Training Friday
Officials said the event will be used to evaluate the base's readiness to respond to such a threat.

Hanscom Air Force Base on Friday will conduct an “active shooter” training exercise.
Officials said the event will be used to evaluate the base’s readiness to respond to such a threat. Emergency responders from Hanscom’s surrounding communities may participate.
“During this exercise there will be interruptions to regular activities, including disruption to traffic and closure of facilities,” officials said in a statement.
