Heat Wave Conditions in Lexington

Tuesday marked the start of a possible heat wave in Lexington.

Temperatures may hit 90 degrees by this afternoon. It will hit at least 90 again Wednesday and Thursday.

This is the latest forecast:

• Tuesday: Mostly sunny. High 88, low 68. 40 percent chance of thunderstorms around 6 p.m.
• Wednesday: Mostly sunny. High 92, low 71.
• Thursday: Mostly sunny. Hugh 90, low 69. 30 percent chance of t-storms around midnight.

The high temperatures will likely last through the weekend.
