
It rained throughout the day and night Tuesday, and it was pretty heavy at times, especially as torrential rain came through in the late day hours. Once again, the area saw flooded parking lots and flooded roads, making for a tricky commute Tuesday night after a morning with icy roads made the drive into work a hazardous one to say the least.

According to the National Weather Service, as of 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Lexington received 2.51 inches of rain.

More light rain, followed by showers will move into the area Wednesday afternoon. Snow showers are expected Thursday morning before warmer, yet partly cloudy skies return on Friday. The weekend looks cool and dry.
