How Much Snow Will Lexington Get This Weekend?

A series of snowstorms is expected to dump even more snow on the region.

More than a foot of snow is expected to fall in portions of Massachusetts during a series of small snowstorms that will fall from Saturday into Tuesday.

Weather forecasters said snowfall will be intermittent with the heaviest snow on Monday.

Here are the snowfall projections for Eastern Massachusetts for the coming days from7News’ Chris Lambert:

  • Saturday -- Snow showers in the afternoon and evening, possibly an inch of snow.
  • Sunday -- A steadier snow. Northern Massachusetts will likely see the most snow with about 3-6 inches. South of the Mass Pike will be more in the 1 to 3-inch range.
  • Monday -- Monday will see the steadiest snow with most areas getting about 6 inches of snow.
  • Tuesday -- Snow will end on Tuesday morning with another 1 to 2 inches possible.

The snowfall predictions for each day don’t seem like much, but when taken together we may see a foot of snow between Saturday and Tuesday.

This latest snow forecast comes within two weeks since the Blizzard of 2015, the Groundhog Day storm and a handful of smaller storms have dumped more than four feet of snow on parts of Massachusetts.
