The Lexington Historical Society will present its summer exhibit “Lextopia: Lexington Launches Mid-Century Modern” on June 20. The exhibit runs through Sept. 19 from 1-5 p.m. daily.
The society is seeking volunteer docents to staff exhibit. Docents will greet visitors, sell tickets and serve as an ambassador to Lexington. Volunteer docents are not expected to become expert on the topic, but they will be given training. Free training will be provided, including a free tour of the Gropius House in Lincoln on Monday, June 8. There will also be training on Saturday, June 20 at 10 a.m. to include a walk through of the exhibit in preparation for the public opening that afternoon. Visit the Lexington Historical Societywebsite for further information.
