Latest Storm Forecast for Lexington
The heaviest snow and sleet will occur between 1 and 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The National Weather Service is now predicting sleet and little to no snow accumulation for Newton on Wednesday. That’s a downgrade from earlier in the week, when the forecast called for up to 10 inches of snow.

The storm comes on one of the busiest travel days of the year and will make driving dangerous at times, NWS said, adding there’s still “uncertainty” about exact snow amounts because sleet will mix with snow at times.
Visibility could be down to one-quarter of a mile or less during the peak of the storm.
