LED Lights, Zoning Amendment: Lexington Special Town Meeting

Seven of the nine articles on the Special Town Meeting warrant were approved.

LEXINGTON, MA — On Tuesday night, Lexington town Meeting members voted on nine articles on the Special Town Meeting warrant. The meeting was contained to just one day, although the town budgeted for time on Wednesday in case the meeting ran over.

The articles range from housekeeping and reports from town boards and commissions to amendments to zoning by laws and plans to convert streetlights to LED lights.

Article 1: Reports of town boards, officers and committees. No vote necessary.

Article 2: Appropriate for prior years unpaid bills. Adopted by voice vote.

Article 3: Appropriate too and from specified stabilization funds. Passed

Article 4: Amend FY202 operating, enterprise, revolving and CPA budget. Passed

Article 5: Amend zoning bylaw from CD-1 District to CSX District- 7 Hartwell Avenue. Passed

Article 6: Amend zoning bylaw to restrict automatic teller machine as principal use in the Center Business district. Passed

Article 7: Amend zoning bylaw and map-186 Bedford Street. Passed

Article 8: Appropriate funding for 25 percent design of the Route 4/225 Bedford Street-Hartwell Avenue-Wood Street transportation improvement- Adopted on unanimous voice vote.

Article 9: LED Streetlight conversion. Passed
