Lexington Accepting Applications For 2018 Patriots Day Parade

The popular, 2.5-mile parade caps a three-day weekend schedule of events marking the start of the Revolutionary War in 1775.

Patriot's Day isn't until April 16, 2018, but Lexington is already accepting applications for its popular parade. The day marks the Battle of Lexington with battle reenactments, house tours and community events. The application for groups wanting to participate in the 2018 parade is available online.

Parade sponsors are also looking for volunteers to serve as parade ambassadors. Ambassadors are community members who volunteer to carry a banner in front of an assembled marching group.
