Lexington Announces Cooling Centers to Help Residents Battle Heat

BREAKING: Heat indexes are expected to reach 104 degrees this weekend.

LEXINGTON, MA — The Town of Lexington has announced that cooling stations will be open in town due to a heat advisory in effect, high temperatures and humidity.

The Community Center at 39 Marret Rd. will be open until 9 p.m Thursday and Friday, and until 5 p.m. Saturday. The pool complex at 80 Worthen Rd. will be open until 8:45 p.m. The Cary Memorial Library has limited hours, due to construction.

  • Thursday - will not open until 6 PM, and will be open until 9 PM
  • Friday - will be closed for construction all day
  • Saturday - will be open 9 AM - 5 PM
  • Sunday - will be closed
