Moderator Deborah Brown's full statement:

Further to my previous postponement, and after consultation with Town Counsel, Town Manager, Select Board and the Town's public safety officials regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the federal, state and local advisories to practice social distancing and avoid the congregation of crowds, I am declaring pursuant to G.L. c.39, § 10A, that the Annual Town Meeting shall further recess until May 13, 2020 at 7:00pm in Margery Milne Battin Hall in the Cary Memorial Building at 1605 Massachusetts Avenue. I anticipate that at that time and date, I will recess the meeting to a later remote meeting using videoconferencing technology. The start date of such remote meeting will be no earlier than Monday, May 18, 2020.

Pursuant to G.L. c. 39, § 10A, I have filed a copy of this notice with the Town Clerk and have asked the Town Clerk to post this notice in accordance with that statute and the laws and bylaws governing our Town Meeting. I also request that this notice be posted on the Town website in a prominent place and on the Town Meeting Members Association website.
