Lexington Community Education presents - An Evening with Shaun McNiff

Accessing The Universal Creative Process on Tuesday, February 3rd from 7:00-8:30pm at the Lexington Depot. Pre-registration recommended.

There are art teachers—and then there’s Shaun McNiff. An accomplished artist himself, with a fascination for the creative process, he’s been teaching art for forty years, both to people who identify themselves as artists, and to those who carry no such identity. Whether in painting, poetry, performance, music, dance, or life, there is a creative intelligence and process working in every situation. This force is the primary carrier of creation. McNiff believes that if we trust this intelligence and follow its natural movement, it will astound us with its ability to find a way through problems and blocks and even make creative use of our mistakes and failures.

Shaun McNiff’s soon to be released book is Imagination in Action: Secrets for Unleashing Creative Expression. McNiff established the first expressive arts therapy graduate training program at Lesley University, from which the field of expressive arts therapy emerged.

The evening talk will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd from 7-8:30pm at the Lexington Depot. The cost of the evening is $10.00. Pre-registration strongly recommended. To register, using a VISA or MasterCard, please contact Lexington Community Education at 781 862 8043.
